Common antihistamines (Benadryl, Allegra, etc) don’t act on the same part of the neuron that SSRIs affect. You should not have any interaction or interference. However, always check with your dr to be sure. Interestingly, back in the 1960s and 1970s, antihistamine-like drugs were considered to be the best bet for developing an effective, safe antidepressant since they also act on brain neurotransmitters.
