Do squirrels act that way because of noise from the car?

0

July 16, 2009 I had read some time ago that squirrels get hit by cars so often when they are obviously fast enough to get out of the way and often run in circles or back and forth in front of the car assuring their doom and that the reason for the strange behaviour is that the sound from the car, duplicated by the researcher confuses the squirrels ability to avoid getting caught/hit, they end up running back and forth and get hit.

What is your question?
