Do Specialists follow a different career track than other consultants?
Given the appropriate experience and training, Specialists have the ability to move into more generalist consulting roles, and generalist consultants have the ability to move into Specialist roles. Regardless of which direction an individual follows, the path from Consultant to Senior Consultant to Engagement Director to Associate Principal to Principal is equally available to both Specialists and to Generalist Consultants.
