Yes, a Fluoroscopy – Medical licence must be held by specialists that use fluoroscopy during surgery or for purposes related to their specialty. Applicants for this licence must: be registered as a medical practitioner in WA; be a recognised medical specialist (eg RACS, RACOG); and have passed an approved and relevant radiation safety course with a minimum 65%. A licence application form and details of approved courses are available from the Radiological Council.
