Do Spanoptic prefer to manufacture spherical radii matched to a test glass list?
In most cases it is not necessary to manufacture spherical radii to test plates. Investment in modern Zygo metrology allows us to measure the radius of curvature and surface accuracy of the spherical surface. Spanoptic now have the most modern Sub Aperture Stitching interferometers that overcome the limitations of standard interferometers. It is now possible to measure plano, convex and concave parts up to 200.0 mm diameter. This capability extends to high numerical aperture components with numerical aperture up to 1 (full hemisphere).
