Do some continental birds migrate to Britain in winter because of the milder climate?
Some birds have always migrated to Britain in winter, regardless of climate change, this is not to say that some have not altered they migratory patterns through climate though over time! In ancient times people used to watch and collect information, they had some wonderful Ideas why the birds suddenly appeared and then went again, they were a gift of sorts! The trick is that organisations rely on us to watch out in our regions as well as their own teams, that if we spot something different to let the RSPB know or other groups so they can keep records of changes!
