Do some Christians believe that their Traditions are as sacred as the Biblical Scriptures?
In the communities you name for many years it has been the case that, the senior church leaders whether they be local or world wide. The church leaders have placed their interpretation of Bible teaching above the actual message contained within its pages. It is possible that some these erroneous teachings come under the umbrella of traditions, because they have been passed down over the years and have no basis in scripture. So the answer to you question is ‘Yes’. But – the members of these communities would never agree with this, because many of them simple accept what they are told by their church leaders. They have never turned and read the pages of the Bible for themselves without some preconceived idea of what it says.
