Do Soap Nuts have a smell?
Soap Nuts actually smell like vinegar. This is their natural fragrance. Some people notice a woody or earthy smell to their laundry while it is wet but this smell disappears once the laundry is dry. If you like, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the Soap Nut bag for a “fresh” smell. Try lavender or lemon scented tea tree.
