Do SmartForme products contain high-quality protein?

0

Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) is a scale that measures the quality of a protein source’s essential amino acid composition. A deficiency in any one of the nine essential amino acids will lower the overall score of the protein. SmartForme uses combinations of various proteins both functionally and to ensure overall high quality. For example, a milk protein derivative such as whey concentrate or calcium caseinate is blended with a specific amount of soy protein to create the best possible essential amino acid score. While each of the protein sources score favorably by themselves, when combined, they fall into the highest quality range. The same holds true for gelatin. It is rich in branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) leucine, isoleucine and valine, but deficient in tryptophan. Once again, we strategically combine the gelatin with a soy and/or dairy protein. The result is a complete and high quality protein blend.
