Under current law, businesses can deduct up to $1 million annually per executive for salaries and compensation packages. Lincoln is seeking to cut this $1 million tax break to $400,000—the President’s salary—for health insurance companies that will profit from the millions of new customers who will purchase coverage as a result of health insurance reform.
