Do Scripps Green Hospital employees have access to the UCSD libraries?
The University of California system cannot affiliate with independent institutions such as Scripps Green in order to provide library services. The California Digital Library (CDL) licenses databases and electronic journals solely on behalf of the UC Libraries. However, as a tax-supported institution, UCSD Libraries are open to the public and provide limited services on-site to walk-in users. Scripps employees may choose to join the Friends of the UCSD Libraries, a public program, in order to obtain enhanced library privileges for an annual membership fee.
