If you drop them in a glass of water or they fall in your pool, they will swell up with the liquid and that’s the end for them. When flood irrigation comes in, they just seek refuge near the perimeter of your yard. They love block walls, which gives them lots of cracks in which to hide. Watch how easily they slide into cracks and literally, disappear.
