Originally schools had to apply as “experimental sites” to qualify for these waivers. The provisions later were made widely available to schools meeting the eligibility criteria. Nothing in the legislation or the Department’s guidance requires a school to obtain specific approval for the waivers. USA Funds anticipates that schools that meet the criteria will begin to schedule disbursements according to the applicable waivers.
