Do SAT and college prep summer programs look bad on college applications?

As for college summer programs, I definitely recommend going to one and putting it on your application. If you’re contemplating about going, I would say go! In my experience, colleges are very favourable to those applicants who have completed summer programs or other activities with them. To them, this shows a lot of interest from you, because you invested your time (and money!) to see and do coursework at their school. Other good points: (1) A lot of summer programs offer college credits for completing a few of their classes (which is definitely impressive to admissions), (2) if you make a good impression during your stay there, an instructor MAY influence admissions to accept you, and (3) some colleges may give you scholarships for participating in their program! The summer program I went to gave two scholarships for this school year. I think all of those points are very impressive to admissions, definitely put it on there if you’ve been to one!
