YES. Both longhaired and shorthaired dogs shed twice a year, spring and fall. They tend to loose the most hair in spring because that’s when they shed their heavier, thicker winter coat. Dogs maintained in colder climates will have and therefore shed more and thicker undercoat than dogs maintained in warm climates.
