Do Royal Marines Reservists or Royal Naval Reservists have uniform insignia that states Reserve?
Don’t know about the Marines, but Naval reservists have RNR on Able Rate epaullettes where regular service ratings have Royal Navy. As far as I’m aware you can only tell a RNR of any other rank if you see their rank or rate written down and it states it. To the best of my memory there is nothing on their uniforms which identifies them beyond Able Rate. I could be wrong, admittedly, as I met very few people I knew to be reservists in my career.
