Royal Mail postie here – some of those answers are awful. Letters must be delivered on Saturdays as this is part of the USO that only Royal Mail have to comply with. It does not matter where you live of work unless you have asked Royal Mail for a “Saturday Retention” they will deliver all mail. If anyone really knows of anyone keeping the mail at home and delivering it on Monday report them to the Police or Royal Mail they are committing a crime.
