From the beginning, Christians have always been those who believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. Catholics (the original Christians) and all mainstream Protestants believe this: Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” -John 20:27-28 To answer the rest of your question would require a book because Pentecostals are so far removed from true Christianity. Edit: To the ignorant: Of course Roman Catholics believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is head of the Church He founded; the Holy Father in Rome is Christ’s vicar on earth (in a direct line from St. Peter, the first pope); hence, the pope is the VISIBLE head of the Church on earth. To be confused by this, one really needs to be wearing his blinders very tight indeed.
