Do RiceSelects jars contain BPA?
No,they do not. The organic compound BPA (Bisphenol A), in the news frequently as of late, is used in the manufacture of many consumer products, as a component in some plastics and in the lining of cans used for foodstuffs. Studies have indicated that the compound is being ingested and could be harmful to human health as well as the environment. The FDA is pursuing additional studies to address what they see as uncertainties in the findings as well as shifting to more robust regulations on BPA. At RiceSelect™, product safety is our number one priority. That is why we have chosen to make sure all of our PET (polyethylene terephthalate) jars are free of BPA.
