What could be scarier in the way of personal privacy than thinking someone could look up your exact location using the GPS technology that is in your cellular phone? Most of us are worried what GPS in phones means to our privacy, and such a thought about reverse phone trace is valid. You should know, however, that this is not going to be a problem, or at least it is not at the present time. The GPS feature in most phones is not activated until a caller dials the 911 service in their community – or from wherever they are.
