Do Report Cards and AYP determinations include the results of tests from home schooled students not required to test?

Even if the district does not claim a home schooled student for ADM, or does not provide instruction in a statewide-assessed content area, a home schooled student may voluntarily participate in statewide assessments. A district may charge an appropriate fee or may waive the charge. (Note: The home-schooled student would also need to take the tests required by ORS 339.035 and OAR 581-021-0026.) To exclude these scores from Report Card, assessment group reports and AYP, the district should set the Administration Code to 6 – “Home School/Not Enrolled” for each test record posted in Student Staging for these students. Absent this exclusion on the part of the district, the student will be included in the district’s Report Card data.
