Do I need a Real Estate license or a Brokers license to own and operate a rental property management company in Georgia? Thanks for the answers so far. I actually called the Georgia Real Estate Commission after looking through their website. The claimed I DO need a broker’s license, and directed me to Georgia Legal Code http://w3.lexis-nexis.com/hottopics/gacode/default.asp Provision 43-40-1 covers Real Estate Brokers. However, real estate agents I have spoken to here in GA told me I do NOT need to.
