This is the problem. There are so many other books and stories that deal with “magic” and wizards and witches and mythology. Harry Potter just gets singled out because it is so popular. I don’t see burnings of Bednobs and Broomsticks movies or the condemnation of the Chronicles of Narnia which has magic in it. Many of those who oppose Harry Potter have not read the book and do not see the underlying theme of Good vs Evil and right and wrong. I happen to be very religious and a large fan of the Harry Potter books. So those people who think it promotes the Occult have not examined it as a story in it’s own universe.
