Do refugees get tired of relating their stories?
Some people like to tell their stories; others have had enough of it. When some young people filmed interviews with asylum seekers here, one said what he didn’t like was people asking questions all the time! Some of the asylum seekers we have worked with, latterly felt they had to be willing to get involved with projects even though they had little spare time or energy. Now they have refugee status the project approach may not be so useful for them – we need to support new ways of becoming integrated.
