Do red drum reared at state fish hatcheries remained close to the hatcheries after they are released?

All of our hatchery-reared fish are released miles away from the origin hatchery. Because the Texas coast is expansive, we sometimes release fish 50-100 miles from the hatchery. Also, our field research studies indicate that the hatchery fish are on the move once released into the wild. They can easily move 1- 2 miles over the course of a day after being released at a given site.
