I have never in 20 year of being a massage therapist in the US ever heard anyone be called a recreational massage therapist – you are either a licensed massage therapist having gone through whatever licensing requirements there are in your state or you are not a massage therapist. Are you talking about recreational therapists like people who specialize in recreation as in outdoor activities hiking etc. It is a totally different field.
