No. The recipient does not need to have an account with Envios Boya in order to receive a remittance through Envios Boya. With this service, there are no hidden charges whatsoever to the recipient for cashing the demand draft/pay order at any bank in Dominican Republic. Currently, many banks in Dominican Republic charge a service fee for cashing checks from other banks. Many money transfer services do not provide for the use of demand drafts/pay orders. Instead they provide checks drawn on their bank that may result in the recipient paying additional fees to cash the check.
