Do rainbows touch the ground?

You would never reach it. It would appear to recede at the same rate you approached it. Rainbows are the result of sunlight being refracted through the countless raindrops, causing a prism effect the breaks up the sunlight into the individual colors of the visible light spectrum. As you got closer the rainbow would just keep on receding and eventually disappear once you got too close into the rain. Interestingly, if someone was to stay behind and watch you, they would see you seemingly enter the rainbow, though you would still see it in front of you.
