Do Railway Points expire after a specific period?
A. With the Shubh Yatra programme, we have made added efforts to ensure that you receive the benefit of your Railway Points. While the Points still cannot be held indefinitely, the programme now offers you the maximum flexibility possible. Accordingly Railway Points will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of member’s registration. However, irrespective of the 3-year validity period, Railway Points will lapse if you do not renew your membership. Mileage expiry is a standard programme feature that is an accepted commercial necessity worldwide.
