Do pupils attending an academy follow the national curriculum?

0

The Secretary of State announced on July 10, 2007, that from that date, new academy funding agreements would require academies to follow the National Curriculum Programmes of Study in English, maths and ICT (earlier academies have to teach English, maths, science and ICT to all pupils and the curriculum had to be broad and balanced). The National Curriculum as a whole has been made more flexible to accommodate the kind of innovation that academies have enjoyed.
