On entry, all prisoners undergo a compulsory nursing assessment including urine and blood tests. Prisoners are then seen within 28 days into their stay by a medical officer for a routine check up. Prisoners will also receive annual health assessments on their birthday. If a prisoner is feeling unwell, they must request an appointment.
