Answer Hello Holly, Not only do Presbyterians but Christianity in general believed in predestination before Jakob Arminius. There is no question that an honest reading of the bible teaches it. Look at Eph. 3:11. This eternal purpose of God is what we call, in Bible terms, predestination. Here are some other scriptures.
