Do pools with salt systems require any special maintenance?
Yes, salt pools in their liquid form are no problem; however, when the salt water evaporates, it leaves a pure 100% salt residue on the BBDeck®, Inc. Pool Cover Decking System mechanism within the vault. This salt is highly corrosive and all parts of the BBDeck®, Inc. mechanism must be pressure washed on a regular basis. We also recommend rinsing the metal shaft of the hydraulic cylinders with a garden hose or pressure washer every time the deck is opened. Please see the BBDeck®, Inc.
