Do pomeranians make good pets?
Like any breed of dog, they are only as good as the person who raises/owns it. Pomeranians are GREAT pets IF the person who has one treats it like a REAL DOG and not like a toy. The problem with all toy breeds of dogs is that a lot of idiots are drawn to them due to some psychological defect that makes them want to treat it like a Doll or a Baby. People that treat a dog like that will of course wind up with an unhappy, bratty, monstrous dog. I have a Pomeranian, I have the same expectations and demands of her as my “big” dogs. I show her in AKC Obedience events where in fact she beats the “Big dogs”. My Pomeranian is best friends with my Collie, and is friendly with every dog she meets. I have fallen in love with the breed after having mine, and will definitely have more of them.
