Do Police or FBI Accountant see field work?
This is like asking… “If I work in marketing for a major sports arena, will I sometimes get to play with the team?” Being an accountant and being a law enforcement officer with powers of arrest, as an OFFICER OF THE COURT are two completely different things. Unless you’re sworn officer, you can’t work in the field… and people who are employed as accountants aren’t going to be doing field work. Two different functions altogether. If you want to work for the FBI in the area of white collar crime, where a degree in accounting would come in very handy, then that’s an option you should pursue. Major in accounting and minor in criminal justice. Then you get to do both.
