Do police officers have regular car radios in thier patrol cars?”

Most police vehicles come with AM/FM radios as standard equipment from the manufacturer. Every police vehicle I have been assigned has had one. AM/FM radios are generally used for “sanity maintenance” (listening to music and shows during work), but are also good sources for weather reports and news. These radios are of the basic variety, and do not have cassette or CD players. Many of the law enforcement officers I work with have also taken to adding satellite radio at their own expense.
