Do Plants Grow Towards Sunlight?
Plants look like they’re growing toward the sun, but what is actually happening is the part that is receiving less light is growing faster. If you have the sunlit side of a plant growing slower than the shaded side, the plant bends toward the light. A simple demonstration of this: take an upside-down trashcan and put it on your lawn. Wait a week. When you take the lid off, the grass under the trashcan will be longer than the surrounding grass. Longer, but unhealthier. This website: http://www.scienceclarified.com/Oi-Ph/Ph… explains it in detail and may offer some experimental help.
