Basically, people with schizophrenia have voices inside their head. These voices tell the person things, like tell them to do things they normally wouldn’t do. Use google or wikipedia to find out specific symptoms, and also what mania is. Mania is basically the opposite of depression.

It depends. I’m no expert, but I have substituted as a teacher in special needs classes, and worked with one student in particular who suffered from “multiple personalities”. Mania I believe is being “manic”, but please don’t quote me on that. Schizophrenia is a disorder where the person loses touch with reality. They see things, hear things. they kind of live in their own world. If you really want to understand schizophrenia, check out the movie “A Beautiful Mind”. True story about a genius who actually won the nobel prize. He still lives in New Jersey I believe. Its a wonderful movie. And, true. You can rent it at the video store. Manic is something different. Extreme highs, and extreme lows. No middle ground. Oddly enough, schizophrenics can be extremely intelligent, as was this character played in the movie “A Beautiful Mind” by Russell Crow. my uncle has schizophrenia and the only thing that i see that is wrong with him is that he is very paranoid. he does talk to himself a litttle of he will say like a phrase that you would usually hear a child say. and a mania is an irrational but irresistible motive for a belief or action.
