Do people with Schizophrenia have multiple personality or a split personality?
People with Schizphrenia don’t have multiple personalit or a split personalit. This is a disease just like diabetes or heart disease. It is a disruption of brain chemicals. The person affected hears voices or sounds in their head as if they were actually talking to them. They can also suffer from hallucinations. Mania is the Manic phase of BiPolar sometimes call Manic Depression. This is the state of mind in which the person is more or less “high” lots of energy causing them to sometimes stay up for days and nights at a time. It causes them to do things that they would never do if normal, sexual promscuity, spending enormous amounts of money for things not needed, shopping sprees, Ideas that don’t make sense. This state then leads to a severe depressive state of mind it also is a biological brain disorder.
Schizophrenia and multiple personality disorder (MPD) are two totally different things. Please see the link below for what schizophrenia is. Mania is being too “up.” One tends to not need sleep, spend too much money, think one is all-creative and cool – everything in excess. Sort of the opposite of depression. I’ll provide a link for that, too.
No. People with Schizophrenia have delusions, multiple personality have black outs and lose time. Mania is manic depressive where they have huge bouts of energy and don’t sleep very much, it’s a completely different disorder. Go to the doctor and get diagnosed. It’s not as easy as this. You, or whomever you’re asking for, needs to be assessed by a professional to get the best help.
