Do people who are blind from birth dream in pictures?
No they don’t. Apparently people who are blind from birth have no concept of what it’s like to ‘see’. Conversely, sighted people have no concept of what it’s like to be profoundly blind. When sighted people close their eyes they see black (the insides of their eyelids) When blind people close their eyes the don’t even see black, it’s as if they do not have any eyes at all. I feel desperately sorry for blind people and hope that in the future, medical science will find both the reasons for blindness and cures for people who find themselves in this most unfortunate position.
