Some people turn up to Black Tie dinners in a usual suit and then hire a tux once a year for the Green Templeton College Ball. However, there is one guy who paid £99 for a second-hand tux, including shoes, trousers, shirt, jacket, bowtie! That shop is on The Plain — Magdalen bridge / round-about, at the beginning of Cowley Road if you’re interested. It looks perfectly fine, and he is definitely pleased with his purchase. The black-tie dinners are not compulsory, but you will find a group of people who do go to every one. I think they’re great fun!
