The Jewish people (“the people of Israel”) do not believe Jesus was a god. Neither do Muslims, although they hold him in great respect as one of the greatest prophets, second only to Mohammad. Christian belief about Jesus’s divinity is much more complicated. He is generally given the title “the son of God” but he is represented in the Holy Trinity as “God the Son” and most Christians believe he was both fully human and fully divine.
