Most of the cameras are not monitored 24/7. They are generally used to go back and look for something that may have happened, or if someone gets caught stealing makeup, the footage can be used in court to prove they stole the makeup.

The cameras are always running. If you were to get caught shop lifting, then you can call the police. The police will then view the cameras to see if they are stealing. Then they can use the cameras as evidence and make an arrest.
