They will do what they have always done – pull us out of the bankruptcy and social mess caused by the Labour Party. Anyway, the Tory party of today is not the same as the Party of Major or Thatcher (even though I quite like Thatcher, and think she was the best thing to happen to this country), just as Labour is not the party of 20 years ago. We have one of the lowest debts over all, but per capita we have one of the highest debts. We have more debt than some third world countries. All because Brown as chancellor and now as PM didn’t save for the inevitable recession, sold off our gold so we couldn’t sell it last year, didn’t even think that house prices might go down, and basically encouraged the entire country to live on credit – something we could never sustain or afford.
