Do people defecate when they give birth in birthing pools?
Yes, people defecate in birthing pools. The midwife or someone around just scoops it out with a small net. It being there isnt a hazard at all to the baby. Added note: I gave birth in a birthing pool to all of my children. There has been alot of research on the subject of defecation in the birthing pool. Because there is so much water it does not pose a hazard.
