It would be hard for me to care less about American Idol than I already do. So by default, I care way more about who wins the presidential election.

Ordinarily I would say yes. However, there seems to be a sense of urgency surrounding this election due to current events. This leads me to suggest that more people care more about the election than American Idol.

People who watch American Idol probably do. In a way, it doesnt matter who wins the presidential election. nodody can fix the problems in america. at least if a good singer wins american idol they will get a record deal so we can all go buy their cd.
