Do PCTs have any responsibilities for IG assurances given by adult social care organisations?

0

PCTs aren’t responsible for completing adult social care IG toolkit assessments, nor for providing support. However, PCTs may wish to assure themselves that organisations with which they share personal identifiable data are reaching an appropriate standard regarding Information Governance. PCTs should bear in mind when reviewing IG assessment scores that some of these organisations will have an action plan in place agreed with NHS Connecting for Health to make improvements in their attainment levels.
