Do parrots produce dander?
Most parrot species are regarded as good pets for allergy sufferers, although some particular species do produce significant amounts of dander which can provoke allergic reactions. All white cockatoos produce relatively large amounts of dust from their powdery feathers which can cause allergy problems. Cockatiels, Rose-breasted Cockatoos, and African Greys also produce feather dust, although in smaller quantities.
