Do parents who come to observe their child’s class have to complete a Volunteer Application? What about parents who help on field trips?

Parents who are only observing their child’s classroom do not have to complete an application. However, any parent assisting in a classroom or interacting with students other than his/her child is required to have constant adult supervision of complete a volunteer application. We encourage any parents who think they might volunteer during the school year to complete an application at the beginning of the year. NOTE: Parents who would like to help on field trips are encouraged to complete the application two weeks prior to the field trip. In addition, Chaperone responsibility forms are required for field trips. Parents or volunteer providing transportation must complete the appropriate form(s) in advance of the field trip.
