Do parents need a gate pass to get on campus?
University Police staff the gatehouses and monitor traffic nightly between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Anyone without proper vehicle identification will be stopped at the gatehouses between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The drivers will be asked their name and destination. Officers may issue a short-term visitor pass, which expires within 24 hours or a designated time frame. If you visit campus infrequently, you can obtain a short-term visitor pass at the gatehouse. If you are a local parent or plan to be on campus frequently, students may register parents (limit of 2 passes). These passes will be semi-permanent and mailed to the individuals.
